La Iglesia de La santa Cruz forma parte de la Iglesia Episcopal (Anglicana) de la Diócesis de Nueva York. Estamos situados en Washington Heights en la esquina de la calle 179 y la Avenida Fort Washington, al lado de la estación de autobuses del Puente George Washington.
Tenemos una misa en español todos los domingos a las 12md, y también los miercoles a las 6pm. Todos son bienvenidos.
"Ultreya"
is a Spanish word, derived from the original Latin, meaning
Onward! This word is now used by the Cursillo community to
signify the meeting which is held after a Cursillo experience. This
meeting may be between Cursillistas from one or several communities,as well as future cursillistas."Ultreya"es una palabra en español, y tiene su origen en el latín, que significa,¡Adelante! Esta palabra es utilizada actualmente por la comunidad de Cursillos de Cristiandad para significar la reunión que se realiza después de una experiencia de un Cursillo. Este encuentro puede ser entre cursillistas de una o varias comunidades, así como futuros cursillistas.The
Ultreya gathers together groups from a particular region and
provides continuity by contributing to the maintenance of the
Cursillo spirit and by revealing the reality of the living
Church.
La Ultreya reune a grupos de una región determinada y provee continuidad contribuyendo al mantenimiento del espíritu de Cursillo y revelando la realidad de la Iglesia viva.
In a climate of
friendship, members share their life experiences based on the
three tenets of Cursillo life: i.e.: Prayer, Study and Action,
or based on a passage from Scripture. This sharing can be
contemplative in nature or may deal with an evangelizing experience.
These sharings from real-life experiences, serve as examples to
all of us of the challenge which Jesus lays before His
followers: "Go and do likewise."
En un clima de amistad, los miembros comparten sus experiencias de vida basado en los tres principios de la vida de Cursillo de Cristiandad, es decir: oración, estudio y acción, o basadas en una estrofa de la Escritura. Este intercambio puede ser contemplativo en la naturaleza o puede hacer frente a una experiencia evangelizadora. Estas puestas en común de experiencias reales, sirven de ejemplo para todos nosotros, el desafío que Jesús pone ante sus seguidores: "Ve y haz tú lo mismo".
As its name implies, the Ultreya is a call to move forward and to keep the flame of the Cursillo burning brightly.
